FaxRouter 0.05

Welcome to FaxRouter. I hope it will be useful to you.

Wasn't this called FaxMail?

Yes. However, to avoid confusion between Matt Davey's FaxMail and my scripts, I decided to rename to FaxRouter.

Quick Installation Instructions

Untar the faxrouter-0.05.tar.gz file, and run the configure.pl script:

    % tar zxvf faxrouter-0.05.tar.gz
    % cd faxrouter-0.05
    % configure.pl

This script will make sure that you have the perl modules you need, as well as a few other things. It will also tailor the distribution for your environment.

Review the selections the configure script made, by viewing faxrouter.cfg. Review all the options, and make any changes you need to make.

Now, as root, run the install.pl script:

    $ install.pl

Dependent Packages

If the efax package is not installed, you can pick it up at

http://www.cce.com/efax/

Follow the download and installation instructions there.

Further dependencies

FaxMail also depends on 3 perl modules:

• AppConfig available at http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=AppConfig
• PerlMagick available at http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=PerlMagick (PerlMagick is built on top of ImageMagick)
• MIME-tools available at http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=MIME-tools (requires MIME-Base64 available at http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=MIME-Base64)

If you are missing some or all of these modules, then download them, and install them in the following order:

• MIME-Base64
• MIME-tools
• (ImageMagick if you don't already have it)
• PerlMagick
• AppConfig
